Project {FUTURE} is a 5 year, $5 million research and outreach collaboration between Sacred Heart University, Marquette University and our neighboring schools to promote Computer Science learing opportunities in grades K-5.
The Latest: Project FUTURE Collaborative Summer Institute
Project FUTURE gathered our Project Future Collaborative teachers at Sacred Heart University's beautiful West Campus or a week-long session. Teacher PLCs refined their CS-integrated units and collaborated with our special guests from Marquette University to co-develop novel custom digital tools to support their CS-integrated units. What an amazing week! We are so glad that our CT-based teachers got a chance to collaborate in person and in real time with our WI-based Development Team.
Stay tuned for releases of those digital tools. Publication of Project FUTURE units is expected for Fall of 2024 after implementation and testing this academic year!

Lt. Governor's Bysiewicz Launches
2022 Computing Challenge
According to Bysiewicz and Russell-Tucker, all Connecticut students in grades three through twelve are encouraged to create and submit computer applications under the theme, “Coding for Good – Inspiring Health and Wellness for All.” Submissions, which will be judged by technology experts and educators from around the state, will be accepted through April 29, 2022.
The challenge was officially announced on January 24th, 2022 with a press release. The submission portal launched on January 25th 2022. Read more
